Structure and function of the yeast amino acid-sensing SEAC–EGOC supercomplex Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, Published online: 12 February 2026; doi:10.1038/s41594-026-01746-2Tafur et al. determined the cryo-electron microscopy structure of the SEA complex (GATOR) bound to its substrate, the EGO complex (Ragulator–Rag), and showed that its GAP activity is essential for both rapid inactivation and reactivation of TORC1.

The image illustrates a principle by which homomers can be polymerized by mutations or by multivalent small molecules.

The image illustrates a principle by which homomers can be polymerized by mutations or by multivalent small molecules.

In 2017 we showed that homomers evolve on the edge of supramolecular self-assembly. Here we show how to exploit this vulnerability so that ALL homomers can become bona fide drug-🎯. Delighted that Aim 3 of our @erc.europa.eu finally polymerized! Manuscript: 👉 rdcu.be/e27bT

New preprint out! Zhoubo Hu et al "A redox-regulated RCC1-like protein controls catalase activity in Arabidopsis". We identify CAIR1, a UVR8-interacting protein, as a redox-responsive regulator of catalase localization and activity, maintaining cellular ROS balance. 🌱

New preprint from the lab 🎉: γ-tubulin is a novel target of the tubulin autoregulation pathway! Previously thought to exclusively target α- and β-tubulin mRNAs, we show that the TTC5–SCAPER–CNOT11 axis also degrades γ-tubulin mRNA, expanding the scope of this fundamental regulatory mechanism.
