Where does the narrator go in this moment?
Is he speaking about himself? Or is it all linemen? And if the later, then why use "the"?
I like the fact that he introduces himself right from the start by his occupation and for whom he works.
Also, I like that he is aware he needs a vacation. Even just a small one.
