We released a statement with over 600 state legislators across 48 states saying we stand in solidarity with Minnesota. I was proud to be joined by dozens of my legislative colleagues to demand that ICE is defunded, pulled from MN, and that the recent murders of innocent civilians are investigated.

Today, we gathered to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and to reflect on what his legacy demands of us now.

Yesterday I presented $200,000 with Senator Fahy to the Village of Voorheesville for the restoration of the historic Bloomingdale store on Main Street!

I’m honored to invest in this exciting project that will boost economic growth in Voorheesville’s downtown while preserving its rich history.✨

In emergency situations, no one should ever have to worry about high medical costs. I’m happy to share legislation that mandates insurance coverage for EpiPens and caps costs at $100 has now gone into effect. Medical care is not a luxury, it’s a human right.

I was unafraid today - standing with hundreds of you to say we are SICK and TIRED of this authoritarian overreach on our immigrant neighbors….I want our immigrants to feel safe, happy, healthy, and at home in the 109th AD and across NYS.

I was proud to stand with Mayor-Elect Dr Applyrs this morning as she announced the continuation of Chief Brendan Cox as Albany’s Police Chief. The Chief and I share the desire to invest in communities deeply in order to prevent the need to arrest and incarcerate.

THOUSANDS of us were out today on Western Ave standing in unity against Trump’s fascist regime for No Kings 2.0 - I was in awe of the thousands of people around me and invigorated to be a small part of it.

Together we are stronger, more organized, and *united* we can move forward and through this.
