Tremendous album. Another that I strangely never bought back in the day and only recently rectified that anomaly.

Absolutely brilliant tune. Peak lyric writing by Weller in this period, I think. Straight in at No 1 in the charts IIRC. Here’s my copy.

Great tune. Think I was falling out of love a bit with The Jam around this period as I was discovering other new stuff. I did give my head a wobble and still bought the single though.

What an absolute classic. Bought the 12” version, but somehow missed out on the original sleeve design.

Great album. For some reason (lack of cash most likely) I didn’t buy it back then. Picked up a copy a few months ago.

What a great album that is too. Saw them supporting Iggy Pop in February 1980 and bought the album when it came out. Love it.

It’s the only time I’ve been there. I thought it was supposed to be a ‘purpose built’ venue ? Strange.

Missed this alert yesterday, but the reminder from Concert Archives tells me that six years ago yesterday I was at Clyde Auditorium (Armadillo) to see Elvis Costello & the Imposters. Great gig but the sound could have been better.

Outstanding tune. This was one of the first records I bought after my ‘awakening’ to the Punk/new wave music scene at that time. Here’s my original copy.

Just had a reminder from Concert Archives that 16 years ago tonight I was at the Forum in Aberdeen to see The Stranglers. Always a pleasure never a chore.
