I needed a target number of pieces that would keep me from overworking a more precious few—I landed on 40 before scaling up the collage work and starting to make paintings from a handful of favorites

Hi Allan! I use tape for my hard edges but mask off large sections then cut away with an exacto, so it’s not the edge of the tape. I also put down a layer of matte medium before painting the surface.
It’s collage season. I’m making 50 (???) 5x7s.
