Thank you for this! Very helpful to know
Two war graves marked with private memorials. They have a kerb around the grave, and one has a cross (presumably previously upright but later placed recumbent).
Four war graves, three of which have private memorials that take various forms. This includes two with kerbs, two with cruciform structures marking the grave and one with a shield like structure. The fourth one has a standard Commission headstone.
A wonderful Bank Holiday weekend spent exploring our local area, including a visit to the Euston Estate. In the churchyard, I was fascinated by the fact that all the war graves were buried in a cemetery particular section of the site. Iβm hoping to find out more, and see if this was intentional!
Sounds fascinating - looking forward to reading it!
