It's so important to let people know that they are seen and not alone.
I've had some great conversations in unlikely places about how scared people are and giving each other recommendations on how to not feel so powerless. I've talked to people about their mental health and what they look forward to in the day, thanked kids for how they choose to help out others.
I've gotten some comments from city friends on my.habit of making conversation with strangers wherever I go, but I really think connecting with your community and treating people like humans is so important right now.
