So my Twitter/X account was hacked because I got tricked by a scammer pretending to be from Support and now I’m locked out.
I swear scammers need to be punished WITH ZERO PREJUDICE.
Unless you have $150 to send me, not much. This is the second time this happened and I am sick of it. I’m very tired and humiliated, especially because this was for my rent.
It’s enough to make me give up on humanity.
Now I’m broke and feeling stupid plus I can’t get back into my account. So I reactivated my original one for now.
So I gave them my info (stupid I know) and paid them in Bitcoin (also stupid) to get it resolved. They deleted the conversation and changed their name.
Unfortunately no. The scammer pulled up some document based on a case number a friend gave me because my account SUPPOSEDLY was posting links to illegal activity. (I didn’t see anything.) They posted that my case was referred to the DoJ and said that if I didn’t get it resolved, I would go to jail.
