I’ve been mulling over a Severance spec idea, and the most recent episode just lined up perfectly for it to actually make sense.
(The last thing I need to write right now is a spec btw)
Seriously. Every script I write is a diss track toward someone.
Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.
What is it with Dan Fogelman and writing pilots that make me want to immediately watch from the beginning as soon as the episode ends?! #Paradise
The anticipated killer android thriller #Companion, from the team behind Barbarian, is out this month. Here’s a trailer:

Devastated for everyone affected by the fires in LA. Be safe, friends. Hope this comes to an end soon. Sending lots of love your way.
Really enjoyed this blog post by Colby Day. Appreciate the peek behind the curtain.
Watching Fox’s MURDER IN A SMALL TOWN, which I’m enjoying and hoping for a season 2, but oh man do I cringe when Northwest-based shows can’t pronounce local names right.
So if you’re looking, I’m available to be your PNW consultant 😉
Also, writing small town/ PNW mysteries is kind of my thing.
Every neighborhood needs a hero.
Marvel Animation's all-new series #YourFriendlyNeighborhoodSpiderMan, streaming January 29 on @DisneyPlus.
The Family Stone. Underrated Christmas movie. 🍿
Sorry for your loss, Brad.
That looks great!
I’m so happy you didn’t let my insecurities influence your choice!! 😅😳
Just finished Speak No Evil and holy smokes, that was a tense slow burn. James McAvoy does menacing like no other.
Ugh. You’re not wrong.
It’s been a little bit of a rough week…for various reasons.
But I’m feeling thankful for my writing circle and having people I can reach out to when needed.
Also, ended today with a little zap of encouragement that I needed.
My writing process is usually:
a) I got this
b) well, fuck
c) wait that part was real good
d) wait no that part sucks
e) I am a god of this place
f) the fuck is this shit, who do I think I am, why am I here
g) oh man I just figured it all out
h) mistakes were made
I) existential dread
It hits all the right notes and gives all the feels.
Shrinking is a fucking delight.

As a family of 4, with two kids under 10 y/o, we usually go on Tuesdays, which is our local cinema’s $5 movie day.
You won’t find us there on a Friday night, but we do go to the theater. 👍🏻
Nope. Deactivated.
Send them my way!
Already did. And it’s pretty great.
Oof. Too real, Tom. Too real.
One would argue contests are not a viable way to get a job in TV, regardless of where you live. At least not directly. Contest success can help you get repped, but it’s still a long road from repped to TV job.
And now part 2 of my double feature. Wife and I having a little date night at Gladiator 2.
