Yes. For me, it’s been a gradual pulling back and leaning in, to try to preserve the community I’ve built with creators and educators. While we build community in new spaces (spaces not run by oligarchs), we pull back elsewhere. It can be overwhelming though. Anyway, nice to find you here, Matthew!

Yesterday was such a celebratory day (in kidlit). Maybe that’s why waking up this morning to the onslaught of continued bad news felt extra heavy. It’s the stark juxtaposition, the proximity to hope. 🖤 But (*deep sigh*)… onward.
