After just missing in Canberra he jags a World Indoors qualifier only a week before the qualification period closes, and ranks #2 Australian behind Edward Osei-Nketia's 6.54 (i)

Matthew McLachlan was 3rd junior (18th overall) in 8:00.48, with Zatopek De Castella 3000m winner Alexander Cameron-Smith getting under the World U20 standard (8:04) with 8:01.22 ... tough job now for selectors to choose the two representatives in this event

Kieran Shepherd was 2nd junior (16th overall) in 8:00.24, becomes #2 U18 Australian over 3000m all-time & almost joined only 6 other non-Africans globally who have broken 8 minutes while 16 years old
In the men's National 3000m Championship, Brett Robinson took the running up to his opponents & was only just out kicked by Callum Davies who finished first in a meet record of 7:48.21, Robinson 2nd 7:49.09 & Adam Goddard 3rd 7:49.68
