It’s been a year since the pedestrian space on Larimer was removed after being there for 5 years. Come out and celebrate pedestrian spaces and safe streets in Denver with your friends and neighbors.
dang so you would have used it shortly after I launched it! it seems to have gotten popular on the PCBR and there are a lot of spots that have since been added that I never saw in my research.
...it would be cool to see posts about it.
- federated, I'd eventually like to integrate ActivityPub so that people can follow your journey wherever they hang out on the Internet. And so that you own your data and never lose your stories from the road.
...a ride I also want to see the map, and where on the map photos are taken. There's a lot of info encoded in that, and most blogs don't show me that and the write up at the same time.
- blog posts tied to POIs, GBC is a POI library. When I'm looking at a campground/bike shop/etc...
Here are some of my current ideas:
- discoverability, lots of people make Wordpress sites about a tour but I can't find them.
- meta alternative, lots of info is also in Facebook groups and I want to get away from there.
- blog posts don't paint the full picture, when reading a description about...
What platforms do you use to share information about your cycle touring trips? What does that platform lack? What do you like about it?

The blog feature is still clunky, but it's coming together.

Just added a new feature to GoBikeCamping where you can add a GPX file to your blog post and have it appear on the map alongside images from your post. People can also then download the route, and see info about it like distance and elevation.

my goal here is to make it easier for people to discover independent blogs about cycle touring, by letting people add their posts to the map. so when you're planning a tour and want to read posts about a specific area, you can go there on the map and find posts.
This is the new profile page of gobikecamping.com. It has a sidebar that shows all of the sections on the page. This helps people see what the different options are.
Redesigning the profile page of gobikecamping.com today. Before it was a long list of cards as I tacked on different features. I added the sidebar to make it easier to see what the different sections are. I'm going to start improving the experience of adding external blog posts so that it is easier.

A reminder of all of the people around the country working to make cycling safer. The people that get infrastructure built that I use when on vacation. The people who win battles that inspire me to push for change at home. All are welcome! Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring your parents. After we donate the food there will be a social (still sorting this out) for folks that want to hang out for a little.
Cranksgiving is a bike-powered food drive. Folks will break into teams, and be given a list of food items and the location of where to buy them. You’ll try to get as many as you can before time is up and we then regroup to donate our food.
Join us for our bike-powered food drive. You can particiapte in either a chill scavenger hunt, or an alleycat race. Then we will regroup to drop-off the food, and have a social afterward. All are welcome, bring your friends!

Torin and I are doing a slideshow about our 14ers trip on November 4th from 6:30-7:30pm at Movement RiNo. It’s $10, and that gets you access to go climbing after the presentation.
