I am not surprised at your potential change. I've been following you here for a long while, but BlueSky rarely shows me your posts.
I watched two really good college basketball games yesterday. #4 Arizona against #2 Houston at Houston. That was followed by #1 Michigan hosting #3 Duke.
Both games were close, well executed games that were battles between well-coached teams. It was fun to watch the excellent play of the teams.
Found this cool drawing at a local store and had to grab it. I meed a frame, and then it will go up on my office wall.
Well, the good news about that is that Spring is close at hand.
This is a great post.
Yikes! Well, I hope your day gets better.
Starting my Saturday by patching a SQL Server for a client. Not really sure what the plan is for the rest of the day.
What are you up to today?
Ha ha ha! Those are two very important things!
That looks pretty amazing!
Congratulations. I've enjoyed your podcast, and I need to get back to listening so I can get caught up.
Many of us can probably relate to that!
It always feels to me that the last day of paid time off is a bit restrained because I'm already thinking about needing to go back to work the next day.
Trying out a note-taking app called Obsidian to see if it can help organize my learning, my presentation, and other content creation ideas.
Any thoughts from folks who have used it or something similar?
What software changes or swap-outs did you have to make when switching to Mac, if any?
What pushed you to switch away from Windows?
Take backups, for example. Backups have options in the T-SQL that can be very useful to be aware of. We can also backup to blob and s3 now. That wasn't always an option. If a person rarely revisits fundamentals, they won't know these options exist, let alone how to do them.
Sessions on fundamentals are essential. Folks who believe they don't need them have possibly forgotten a few things because they "moved on" to harder topics. Also, tooling and features change over time, especially features. So, what was once basic and fundamental has new ways of doing them.
So, this is a thing that just happened! ๐ My cat decided to explore the kitchen cabinets. <sigh>
She's never done that before. Luckily, there are no dishes in this one. Just closed spice containers.
Being and doing good simply for its own reward often is not enough for some people. They also have to try to make money from their deeds.
Yikes! Yeah, I can understand the frustration then.
Wow! That's a scathing rebuke! Others have said similar things, but nothing quite as strong as this.
I completely understand your decision, and I wish circumstances were different.

Just watched "Young Woman and the Sea" about Trudy Ederle, the first woman to swim the English channel.
It was a great story, and you should definitely watch the movie.
She is one of my favorite artists.
Well, I didn't even pay attention to the orientation of the picture after it posted! Ha! That's funny.
Happy Thanksgiving! Take stock of the good things. Appreciate your loved ones.
I just watched a sci-fi movie from 2011 called, "I am number four." I thought it was a pretty good story and a nice break from reality.
My condolences.
Looks like a good time!
Glad to see you are still making new folks feel welcome, just as I knew you would!
