Can’t comment on it, but funnily enough I’m seeing its influence in Schitts Creek.

I watched it sporadically back in the day ( largely because I was living in Kinlochewe, and viewed it as an instruction manual).

Getting much more out of it this time.

Binge watching Northern Exposure (finished West Wing again).

On Series 3, and everything has settled in. Isn’t it lovely how much space and understated non-judgemental love is devoted to an autistic, Native American boy?

I remember bawling my eyes out at this when young. Not the action packed sci-fi movie I thought it was. Didn’t expect it to be thoughtful and deep with meaning.

Even the shortlist for that award is really really long.

Definitely worth getting into.

Yup, used to run them once or twice a year, bringing in local and international instructors in qigong, taijiquan and related disciplines. Was great fun. Jeni would do the catering (which was immense!). They started at Carbisdale, but Torridon became home.

I have a vivid memory of 3 of us at that time walking down Sauchiehall Street, and seeing our friend (the beautiful Luke Sutherland of Long Fin Killie, mogwai and rev magnetic). Waved, shouted and ran towards him. Hugged. THEN noticed the faces around us. Lots of wrong assumptions made.

I wish I could remember the comedian’s name, but on stage with skinhead, MI jacket boots etc, compares people’s reactions when he says he’s from East London, and when he says he’s from Brighton….
