These days, I'm doing optics simulations on a waveguide. If there is someone else with similar interests, please share some fun problems that I can solve or fun structures that I can make to improve my understanding of the software. OR if you have any interesting resources, share @comsol.bsky.social

Despite this yearโs Nobel prize spotlight on quantum devices, you don't need to be a Nobel laureate to design your own qubit processor. Our goal with Quantum Metal is to make quantum device design accessible to anyone whoโs curious about how quantum hardware actually works.

Thanks, Chris, for the insightful thought. For molecules, things might be different, and I found this paper: science.org/doi/10.1126/...
which seems to make some sense; I'm still reading tho.

@christopher-k-long.bsky.social can you please elaborate on how exactly we can find T1 using Fermi's Golden rule? Our system is a diradical molecule, so I think we can't apply what you have mentioned in stack.

T1 is spin-lattice relaxation time, which is the time it takes for a qubit's spin to return to its ground state after being excited.
T2 is coherence time, which is the time a qubit can maintain a superposition state before collapsing.

Hi Folks from Molecular spin qubits,
Can you suggest to me the best way to calculate T1 and T2 computationally?

I'm more into doi.org/10.1016/j.xi...
this kind of paper, but the point is to find potential spin radical qubits, but only using computational chemistry in experiments. Here, all the proposed molecules are experimentally studied to find the T1 and T2.

I'm working/reading on organic radical pair molecules, and I feel like I was right when I was in 11th grade; I don't like chemistry.
Although at first I did some reading on photogenerated radical pair, they didn't work out, so we are hoping to see if an organic radical pair would be helpful or not.

Don't suggest a PhD because that would be the last thing I would like to do at this point.

Good news! I'm done with my thesis defence~
The topic for my MSc thesis,
"Ultrastrong Coupling Effects in Spin-Photon Interactions with Hole Spins"
Enjoyed working on it, hoping to work further on spin qubits in sc, but let's seeee
