I made the message in the ball simply congratulate him because Flayon is very strong and is always taking matters into his own hands to decide his future. WIP that shall remain in WIP hell. I've come to realize that, after I spend a certain amount of hours on a piece, I just stop working on it entirely. I get burnt out staring at and trying to improve the same drawing, I guess. I'd like to get better at time management, so I can make all the improvements I want before burning out. It's merely a matter of patience and practice. But looking back at the saved artworks I have in my photos, I see many improvements that make my work look less flat than it did back in 2023 when I first watched this funny red cat and started drawing more regularly ❤️.

I'm challenging myself to overcome my perfectionism with this little sewing project, because I feel that toxic perfectionism is the main reason why I don't start or finish many projects. The second something doesn't match the vague image in my head, I stop working because I either lack the know-how or energy to fix it. So I'm just letting my first attempt at everything on this plush be the last, hopefully to teach myself that it's better to have something rather than nothing, because it wasn't "good enough". I get less free time when I restart work after the break, so I wanna teach myself to just be happy doing my creative hobbies rather than putting them off because of my fear of failure.

I've sewn on both ears! Now all we need is trackers for them!

I count this as a double present because my sister got it for me. I think this type of fashion didn't make sense to her until after our Japan trip earlier this year. Seeing lots of other women sharing my taste might have made her think it's less weird. I don't know, my family has always been far too uptight for my tastes, and my older sister absorbed lots of rigid, judgmental thought patterns. But her buying this dress for me shows that she's grown, and that makes me happy. :3

(May delete this later) I just wanted to say I got a cute dress this year.

Some watercolor studies and digital doodles from this past month. I've got a new job, so I haven't worked on a big drawing project in a while. Given how tired I've been lately, I think my creativity will have to come in microdoses for a while.

To give a quick rule run-down tho:
-I offer uncolored sketches and lineart ($15), colored sketches($22), and colored lineart($30) of any character(s) or oc(s) of the commissioner's choosing.

So I had this cute idea to draw Flay with X at an amusement park for his birthday, but I didn't have time for it in the end so I ended up using the idea for watercolor practice. I'm actually the slowest artist to ever art... Either way, a watercolor sketch of Machina X Flayon and his counterpart X at an amusement park. Some machiroon hot air balloons lay in the background of a night sky. A moon hovers above a Ferris wheel and a spinning teacup ride.

Same as the first picture, just a few more painted areas in this "after" shot. I didn't finish this artwork because I made a few mistakes with color choice, setting in some messy pencil lines by painting over them, and wonky anatomy with X. I'd have to use a lot of material and effort to white out and change those details so I don't think I'll return to this. But I do think this was good practice. I'm proud of this doodle!
