The President and Vice President of the United States, calling for violence here and abroad.

Later I saw him in the airport saying loudly “all these states that are democrat run…..!” I am really worried about the simmering anger of white men. It put everyone on edge

On a flight home from Florida and a man deplaning once we landed started talking to a man with a mask on. He screamed loudly “I bet you voted for BIDEN!” Then continued to mutter under his breath as he stood over the man. The anger was palpable and everyone was uncomfortable. (1/2)

Just finished teaching Beloved and now onto The Handmaid’s Tale. Both of these novels are more important than ever. Reviewing my introductory presentation and I’m saddened how much i have to change to include most recent developments here in America 🥲@margaretatwood.bsky.social

I got emotional with my students about how they read the text and discussed it as a group. There was so much empathy and desire to listen. It gives me hope for our next generation.
