Fast descent to the Harp at Neston with views over the Dee to the Clwydians. Excellent pint of Landlord
New pub tick at the Royal Oak in Neston. Seems like a nice community pub and the Abbot was surprisingly good. Nice malty notes for a cold day.
Return to the Darkside, and it’s quiz night tonight if you’d like to book a table please ring (01244) 324065. @realalecyclist.bsky.social @editorcamra.bsky.social @stephenslack.bsky.social
A couple of sitting MPs follow me so I am resharing this because I think this is a pretty darn good idea and imagine if we had something similar in the uk that helped showcase our long, rich culture of beer and brewing.

Regular prematch stop at the Sandstone. Had the stout at the Deva Tap last night so gone for the other two

It’s on now, and we open at three today for the rugby, there’s an extra TV for those who want to watch 🏉👍🍺 @beersinchester.bsky.social @editorcamra.bsky.social
This is a familiar problem. Of course businesses will amend hours to match perceived demand and will accept private bookings, but the other side of the coin is that potential customers need to know what is going on. So many pubs could do more, both online and with a notice outside, to let us know!
My biggest gripe when trying to keep opening hours up to date on @beerguidelondon.bsky.social Either nothing listed on their website at all or different hours on website, Google maps, Instagram, twitter, etc.
You complain about lack of business but then make it impossible to know when to visit!
Just sitting here waiting for the rugby to start and seeing what beers are on @beersinchester.bsky.social @editorcamra.bsky.social @stephenslack.bsky.social
Nice back lanes as it warms up. Pint of hop soup at the Sandstone in Wezzy Park. Dangerously drinkable at the strength
Please ask your MP to help our precious pubs; they are put even more at risk by the proposed changes to Planning rules.

Got my timings all wrong this morning so a shorter ride than planned. Headwind South before stopping at the Sportsmans in Tattenhall. Both Thwaites were really rather good
Just across the road in Tattenhall to the Letters. Very welcome fire. Don't often see Three Tuns so nice to have that. Good old pub this.
