You're a JAG on the ground. The sky above you is full of chutes from a disabled transport aircraft. Some are probably aircrew. Some or most are paratroopers. Can you shoot them as they descend?

Distinguish parachuting aircrew from paratroopers though. And the text says "occupants" of disabled air craft. And it states paratroopers can surrender on decent, so could the disability of the aircraft render them hors de combat ?

The thing though is that the animal is chattel. It's a weapon. Personal property etc. So the vet taking care of the dog is just as lawful a target as the maintainer on the flight line. So interesting!

Yeah same. But then you have the problem of what if you shoot down the c-130 and paratroopers are jumping out.

One of my favorites is that if you parachute out of an airplane in distress you're hors de combat, but if you do it on purpose you're a lawful target.
