And while it’s clear they’ve taken some notes on anatomy and behavior since the first Jurassic Park was made, It seems like Steven Spielberg was still more interested in the drama than the science.

Co-evolution between plants and animals was shown as more sudden and spontaneous than the gradual series of infinitesimal mutations over large timespans. This adds confusion about the processes and is deeply unfortunate for a public who already has a difficult time understanding these concepts.
Existing documentaries already do a better job of showing realistic behaviors, adaptations, and ecological relationships. TD’s animation and direction were clunky and far too cartoony. But I think the real disservice to the viewer came with the disjointed presentation of time and evolution.
Idunno who needs to hear this, but Netflix’s new The Dinosaurs (TD) series was a real step backward in terms of educational content about deep time, evolution, and even individual dinosaur species themselves. Honestly, I’m not even sure what the point of producing it was.
Ah yes, sarcococca season… when every evening stroll smells like a trip through a detergent factory.
So… my nephews figured out I could draw whatever they asked me to draw and started calling me “a human ChatGPT.” This fkn AI bubble can’t pop soon enough…
@itscodes.codyshipman.com just reworking your words over here!
The millennial urge to burn all your possessions and run away to a city you’ve never even visited halfway around the world at the slightest inconvenience. 🔥💅🏻
This makes sense: genAI, being built to generate stuff, replaces jobs in art and writing by generating slop art and slop writing. Many of us find its outputs repulsive, but companies don't seem to care.
Did you know Trump has his first case against “Antifa”?
Watch a clip of NLG Director of Mass Defense explain how the Trump Administration has used the President’s directive to go after “Antifa”, to prosecute the Prairieland Defendants.
The problem is… There is nowhere you can run that this shit won’t chase you.
I didn’t get a good time lapse installing the returns because I was out in the hallway and there were other folks out there, but they matched up pretty well!
Bonus cutting footage 🗡️
And flip-flops sure ain’t doorstops.
Another time lapse installing the vinyl print on the door. It was really fun trying to figure out how to get around the door handle! 😵
I’m sure there were ghosts before the Holy Ghost, otherwise what’s the point of the honorific.
He(tm) is the reason for EVERY season, apparently.
Christ.
So this was really an exercise in meeting a challenge on a shortish deadline. Not the most detailed or even “correct” drawing. The point here was to crank out a quick but passable scenic-type illustration, print it, and install within a week. Not perfect! But that’s not the point! 🥰🎃
Well this was the full image for the door wrap but I couldn’t really get a good photo of it cause the hall is too narrow hahahaa
No. Vinyled. Jfc get it right.
Haha vinyl. It’s a door wrap. I’m gonna install it tonight.
Oh look. What’s this?
Meanwhile, inside my head… “take down, take down, take down-down-down-down...”
Isn’t it though? @chuckmertz.bsky.social
Mine keeps doing that, and I just thought it was because mine is barefoot 🤣
Ink and… ink portrait! #dowestilldohashtags? #ink #watercolor #acrylicpainting #portrait #seattleartist #seattlemodel #illustration
Respirator mask, tyvek suit, flocking gun. Fake snow.
Some real Clark Griswold shit here.
