One of Rachel Reeves' minions was on the news saying we all had to "do our bit" and pay more in taxes
No minion, we don't. We've been "doing our bit" for the past 18 years via austerity and yet the rich have been getting richer whilst we get poorer
Tax wealth, NOT work

Caroline Lucas, "Brexit is going to cost us twice the amount of the Β£22 billion black hole - every year"
"Why is Keir Starmer being so cowardly when it comes to Brexit?"
I think it speaks volumes that right wingers criticize bluesky for being βliberalβ and βleft wingβ, when itβs really just that hate speech isnβt allowed.
Photo of Times front page today. Headline βUK economy takes a hit after Labour tax increasesβ Picture of a laughing Jeremy Clarkson also.
A right wing paper that has *never* had a similar headline about the UK economy taking a FAR greater hit from the ruinous Tory Brexit deal, canβt be taken seriously when it slates Labour for dealing with the epic mess the Tories left behind.
What did you expect, Times?
You helped grenade the place.
Wow. Imagine the shock for the Daily Mail when it finds out Tory plans were for fines of Β£5k - later reduced to Β£3k - for each missed heat pump sale. What Ed Miliband has done is to reduce that to Β£500. As @torstenbell.bsky.social says today Headline should read βMiliband slashes Tory boiler taxβ
Since Nigel Farage has just sided with Russia again, and said βthe idea Ukraine is going to win, frankly, is for the birds,β itβs time to re-ask those five questions heβs never asked about his support for Vladimir Putin 1/6

Now we know, multiple Tory supporting companies, none in farming, like JCB, Tory MPs, Lords and various others, all gave their staff a paid day off to go to the ''Farmers'' Protest, as well as foxhunting clubs, and investment bankers.
Wonder how few actual 'farmers' were there.
The right wing press likening the IHT on very rich farmers and the protest today as a βpeasants revoltβ is the ultimate in irony.
But their readers are too stupid to know their history.
Mhairi Black, "I'm not understanding why there is so much heat around this" @mhairiblack.bsky.social
"Is this is a case of farmers working their knuckles down to the bone, living on the breadline, that happen to be sitting on assets"
"Or is this like people like Jeremy Clarkson"
If you feel the same, spread the word.
βA 4% reduction in the UKβs potential GDP (caused by Brexit) puts the 1.4 % growth growth the chancellor is quoting in to context - and thatβs in fifty years timeβ
Is it any wonder business bosses are urging the Prime Minister to move as close as possible to the EU in his βBrexit resetβ
Boris Johnson is still repeating his completely untrue claim that βBrexit saved livesβ with the vaccine rollout - and heβs now doing it completely unchallenged. How many times do I have to correct this boll****

0.08% expected growth by 2038 a CPTPP 0.08% by 2035 - Australia deal 0.07% by 2035 - Japan deal 0.03% by 2035 - NZ deal MINUS 4% - long term loss of growth caused by the Brexit that enabled these βwinsβ
Just a reminder of what trade deals βwith the rest of the worldβ have done for us compared with what we have lost and continue to loseβ¦

Nationalise energy. Now.
Taken from about half a metre away with my phone. Couldn't believe it didn't fly away.
