found some snow today! (and some Viennetta)
January has mainly been walks from the village...local defensive church with stone parapet walkway and everything to look out for the Scots 😜), a stone circle (or is it?), beautiful Scots Pine with views to Scotland and the first signs of Spring
took a wrong turn so my walk was twice as long as I planned, but it was such a nice sunny afternoon it didn't matter
I got to see loads of redwing, fieldfare and noisy blue tits #lakedistrict #cumbria @rspb.bsky.social @cumbriawildlife.bsky.social

Preparing for the new season at Skiddaw House. Some terrific work undertaken by volunteers inside and out! #skiddaw #volunteering #lakedistrict #yha
first no coat walk of the year 😎
new buds appearing on my special Hawthorn and herd wicks where they shouldn't be! 🤣 #lakedistrict
bitter winds through the valley meant a choppy lake today
After work walk! 🙌
views of the Pennines, Criffel on the Scottich coast and the Lakeland fells #sundown #lakedistrict
One of our Trustees visited Skiddaw House today, only a little snow but look at that blue sky!
it did!
such an abrupt end to the snow, a quick thaw has meant it’s all gone overnight - remembering it’s patterns shaped by the wind last week #fells #snow #lakedistrict #weather
