He lasted much, much longer than any other cat we ever owned. But he lost a lot of weight. He became very weak -- all skin and bones. Sharon took him to the vet this afternoon. They told her his veins were too thin to get an I.V.

Sharon had him put to rest. She held him until he breathed his last.

Poor Pickles. He was 17 years old and he reached the end.

I rescued him from my dad's house in Thomson, Ga., in 2009 and brought him home to Virginia Beach. He's been a very nice furry friend over the years, through our moves to California and then to Texas and then back here to Atlanta.

Something you may not have known about "Migrant Mother" -- Lange didn't like the mother's thumb in the foreground at the extreme lower right of the original photo. So she had her assistant alter the photo and take it out.

I Caught POLITICO and the New York Times Laundering Pink Slime "News" How the sexist backlash to AOC and Gretchen Whitmer at the Munich Security Conference led me to a scammy "local news" outlet pushing a coordinated right-wing narrative

Terrific piece on how the New York Times and Politico failed to spot pink slime and how it all plays into a reckless smear on AOC and Gov Whitmire.
