Capitalism, mining and environmental change ROOTS alumnus receives nearly one million euros in funding for a five-year research project from the National Science Centre Poland (NCN).

ROOTS alumnus @pawelcembrzynski.bsky.social has been granted funding for a five-year research project from the @ncn.gov.pl. He will investigate how mining and metallurgy changed settlement patterns and the natural environment, and what role capitalism played in these changes.

Newly graduated PhD student: Tanja Schreiber ROOTS doctoral candidate successfully defends her dissertation on Hunter-Gatherer Fortifications in Northwest Siberia (6200 BC - 1800 AD).
