Abstract Drawing Process / Tutorial - Easy, Slow, Informal YouTube video by Lee Bishop Arts

Here's a slow, relaxing video of myself drawing and talking from about 6 months ago. Apologies for the croaky voice.

I may have posted this before but it's been a while and there's probably a hundred + of you who haven't seen it. Maybe you will get something out of it. :)

You would think that there would be so much more to write about and cover given the... Interesting times... That we live in, but so much of what's out there is just same-old-same-old.

And not just I'm content, either, but in how people actually play with the line.

Hey, back then a third party vote could be made in protest without risk. I voted Biden and Harris in the last two elections, though I am not happy that things have gotten so bad that I felt I had to do that.

I was actually referring to writing styles and not just the narrative. How a sentence is laid down. Dickens is a bit long winded for me, though he does have his gems.

I still have no idea why ASOIAF got to be as big as it is. As soon as I figured out what the schtick was, it all became very bleh.

No, it just takes a bit more thought.
Just because mcdonalds occasionally does something with "100% real Angus" doesn't make it any less a McDonald's burger. It's still designed to be as inoffensive and palatable to the largest number of people possible.

The first presidential election I was able to vote in was Obama vs McCain. I voted for Vermin Supreme and I'm glad I did because as soon as Obama let those a-holes who wrecked the economy off the hook, I knew I was right.

Actors like him are one of the reasons why I almost never watch new movies.
Pop culture is to art what McDonalds is to fine dining.

The trump/hegseth military strategy that we have seen so far can be boiled down to "kill the head and the body will die."
When the body DOESN'T die, they both just kinda give up and move on to the next target.

The question is, is Tina Peters remorseful about prostitution not being legalized or the avalanche death? I highly doubt she is remorseful about her own actions.

For me, it depends on the kind of hate. Literature, like other forms of art, can sometimes cause angry feelings to bubble up inside.

I hate-read my way through Dickens, and I'm glad I did.

I also hate-read my way through game of thrones for a GF. That was a mistake.

It's just as bad up here in the mountains, which is really concerning for water reserves. That spring run off isn't coming this year.

It's on dvd, but difficult to find. One of the main theatre groups that did a production of it also has it in full on their website, but only for members. I am sure it's probably also on one streaming service or another.

Definitely worth the hunt though because it is an amazing show.

Art isn't supposed to comfort. It's not an escape. It's not a distraction or entertainment.

Art is supposed to be a conversation. Specifically, a conversation about life.

Doesn't matter the technical skill or the number of followers or likes. If an image doesn't have anything to say, it's not art
