For years, wastewater pumping stations relied on diesel generators expensive to maintain, fuel-dependent, rarely used until an outage strikes, and unreliable when needed most. Michelle Lewis reports in Electrek.co, Erie County Sewer District No. 2 replaced diesel with a 150 kWh Viridi RPSLink BESS.
We’re proud to announce the deployment of a 150 kWh Viridi RPSLink fail-safe BESS at a wastewater pumping station in Erie County Sewer District No. 2. The system delivers 32–90 hours of clean, reliable backup power — eliminating fuel dependency, reducing maintenance costs, and cutting emissions.
Viridi was honored to be invited by a Canadian Economic Development delegation to the Niagara Falls Innovation Hub for a discussion about the role of advanced Energy Storage in strengthening cross-border trade and investment.
