Yeah, while I love what Final Fantasy would become in the SNES days, during the Famicom years they were very much followers.
Like, the game is well constructed, but it doesn't have quite the mechanical depth of say, a Metroid game, to really carry most people to want to replay it. There isn't enough reason to *explore* the world and really learn every inch of it like Zebes or Dracula's castle.
It’s about 6-8 hours long I’d say, depending on how much you play. Which in and of itself isn’t bad, but the game REALLY needs extra difficulty settings, or a boss rush mode or time trials or randomizers, etc. to be worth $30 imo. Again, unless you’re a simp like me who bought every version lolol.
DQ3 is legendary for a good reason. :3
