getting bangs
pros: receiving lots of compliments, feeling chic
cons: being overstimulated by them a lot, a gust of wind ruining any effort that went into styling them
- that i couldnβt help but feel sympathetic towards victor and the creature at certain points in the film. thank you for sharing your thoughts Labrini, iβm so glad to hear you loved it!
what a thoughtful and eloquent review! reading that makes me want to watch it again and then read the book to compare. itβs really interesting to see the ways Del Toro shifted from the original narrative, but it feels purposeful. the central theme of the cycles of abuse was so carefully crafted-
sending hugs right back to you π₯°π

a reminder for myself and anyone that needs to hear it: you have worth and value outside of being helpful to people. it may be how you have survived in this world, but itβs not your sole purpose
for the heated rivalry fans: ilya telling shane to keep his glasses on while they had p**** s** was so real

yes ive heard that there were some creative liberties taken and del toro used some of his own life experiences in his adaptation. would love to know what you think after you watch it!
i think the way it ended with a message of hope and forgiveness was beautiful. in the face of tragedy, the sun will still rise and we will live on. now iβm inspired to read more gothic literature, starting with frankenstein (i knowβ¦ my english teacher in hs had very specific taste)
guillermo del toroβs frankenstein was brilliant to me, and iβm definitely going to watch it again to pick up on the symbolism i likely missed the first time- each scene felt so intentional despite the long run time. itβs philosophical, introspective, honest, narratively rich, poetic
yeah he might as well just take it all the way off atp π€
they finally got it right this year π
the weather is finally getting cooler, itβs football season, soup season, and new seasons of british bake off and dwts! fall is so good π§‘π
great point π€
given the rates of infidelity in monogamous couples (which is probably higher than reported, and itβs already high) i think the lack of communication and willingness to be honest about each personβs needs is causing so much turmoil in relationships, so i do think the secrecy is the biggest problem
i think it could be a bit of both where some people have a hard boundary with using it in a relationship at all where others would be open if it was a discussion first. thereβs definitely a lack of nuance with the discourse around it online & i agree that it shouldnβt be written off as always bad
twins!
i think it depends on what each relationship defines as cheating. the problem is that a lot of couples arenβt having that conversation and just assume theyβre on the same page. i would definitely consider this cheating if it wasnβt discussed beforehand
knowing that benson boone can sing original key adele songs and kill it is so upsetting because why are we singing about moonbeam ice cream then?? we need power ballads PLEASE
- pumpkin bread, and watching fall themed shows and movies. i struggle with the shorter days too, but iβve realized what i really donβt like is the expectation of year round productivity placed on us when nature is calling us to rest
wishing calmer days ahead for you π«π€
fall feels inherently nostalgic for me, unlike any other season. i see it as a transitional period that is asking us to slow down, notice, and reflect as we prepare for winter. i see it as a sweet βgoodbye for nowβ from the plants before they go dormant. i love the colorful leaves, spiced candles-
yeah the part of your world series is sooo good! i really enjoyed each book in it π₯°
belly needs time to figure herself out before i can honestly root for her and conrad being together π©
i really appreciated samβs family plotline as well throughout the story - you can tell abby put a lot of thought and care into it, and i love that she consulted with medical professionals
xavier is now one of my fav book boyfriends, the ultimate acts of service lover π₯Ή
overall 4.5/5 βοΈ
finally read and finished this! this was a sweet, emotional, and heartwarming read. abby can do no wrong in my eyes. were there too many rhysand references? yes. did i have to suspend disbelief a couple times? also yes. but i think i was in the mood for an unrealistically perfect love connection
they had to find a way to pay for the extra episodes this season and the copyright for the soundtrack which is currently carrying the show on its back along with chris brineyβs acting πππ
my advice is to fast forward through the belly and jeremiah scenes π
