i think the way it ended with a message of hope and forgiveness was beautiful. in the face of tragedy, the sun will still rise and we will live on. now i’m inspired to read more gothic literature, starting with frankenstein (i know… my english teacher in hs had very specific taste)

guillermo del toro’s frankenstein was brilliant to me, and i’m definitely going to watch it again to pick up on the symbolism i likely missed the first time- each scene felt so intentional despite the long run time. it’s philosophical, introspective, honest, narratively rich, poetic

given the rates of infidelity in monogamous couples (which is probably higher than reported, and it’s already high) i think the lack of communication and willingness to be honest about each person’s needs is causing so much turmoil in relationships, so i do think the secrecy is the biggest problem

i think it could be a bit of both where some people have a hard boundary with using it in a relationship at all where others would be open if it was a discussion first. there’s definitely a lack of nuance with the discourse around it online & i agree that it shouldn’t be written off as always bad

i think it depends on what each relationship defines as cheating. the problem is that a lot of couples aren’t having that conversation and just assume they’re on the same page. i would definitely consider this cheating if it wasn’t discussed beforehand

finally read and finished this! this was a sweet, emotional, and heartwarming read. abby can do no wrong in my eyes. were there too many rhysand references? yes. did i have to suspend disbelief a couple times? also yes. but i think i was in the mood for an unrealistically perfect love connection

they had to find a way to pay for the extra episodes this season and the copyright for the soundtrack which is currently carrying the show on its back along with chris briney’s acting 😂😂😂

my advice is to fast forward through the belly and jeremiah scenes 😂
