The EU wants to establish facts about Libyan coast guard shooting at rescue ship “The Libyan Coast Guard has confirmed that it issued multiple warning shots."

After the 20-min shooting at an NGO ship with survivors, statements from @ec.europa.eu & Libya’s GNU show disregard for intl law: freedom of navigation, duty to rescue, right to life.
This EU-enabled violence at sea is systemic - crimes against humanity.

The so-called Libyan Coast Guard fired 20mins at an NGO ship with survivors on board.
Since the EU gave them patrol vessels in 2023, violence has escalated: threats, live fire, attacks on refugees + humanitarians.
This deadly cooperation must END NOW.
