Since our Legislators are not listening to us or respecting our will, I am running to flip this seat. Every day, I am talking with neighbors of every party who want to move our state forward.

Instead of cutting property taxes, Nebraska Legislators voted today to cut minimum wages.. .By one vote, they rolled back a ballot measure that was passed on the ballot in 2022.

On a more serious note, I appreciate that they joined with many others on the spur of the moment to help a neighbor in need. Our hearts go out to the family of the young dog that was hurt. ❤️🩹
Many thanks to Morgan and Norah for coming with me yesterday for great conversations with voters on a cold and windy afternoon. We came across a small gang of turkeys and it is surprising how much wildlife we have throughout District 4! 🦃

🇺🇸 The “Avenue of Flags” subscription is available in a few District 4 neighborhoods. Volunteers place the flags at dawn and pick them up at dusk on each of the following holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. /4
🇺🇸 My friend, Laura, joined me for a bit that afternoon and we noticed an amazing display of flags in many homeowners’ front yards. We learned they were placed by the Omaha West and Miracle Hills Optimist Club members to support scholarship and youth activities in our community. /3
🇺🇸 The government shutdown had not yet ended, and many were worried about the impact on current military members, federal workers, and fellow veterans.. .Hopefully things are returning to a bit more normal for all of those families. /2
🇺🇸 While talking with neighbors last Tuesday, I had the chance to thank several veterans for their service and listen to their priorities for our country, state, and our community. /1

Several moms in a local Facebook Group shared about Hy-Vee’s generous community support with food donation bags to purchase, Free Hot Meals for Children 12 and under ($3 for all customers), and a $125k corporate donation to Feeding America . /2
❤️Kids can continue to eat free at Hy-Vee
for breakfast this weekend (7-10am) and supper next week (4-7pm), with $3 meals available for all customers!❤️
I talked w/staff at both District 4 locations and they have been serving between 250 and 500+ meals each day. /1
