If Trump wants to address immigration in a meaningful way he should show some muscle against the all powerful gun industry.
Let's not forget that approx. 200,000 - 500,000 guns flow from the U.S. across the southern border each year and many end up in the hands of cartels and other armed groups.
The absence of these resources will cost lives. This is nothing less than a disgusting show of power by those who have never known what it means to go without.
This isn’t just about funding—it’s about the lives that depend on it. These are organizations that provide victim support, prevent violence, care for children, and deliver health care—basic, life-saving services.
You can’t just shut down $3 trillion of the U.S. economy without catastrophic consequences.
Today has been hard. I’m seeing the toll this funding freeze is taking—not just on the organizations I work with, but on myself and everyone around me. We’re left wondering if this will devastate our work. But more than that, we’re asking how many people will suffer or even die because of it.
