We were, are, a declining world power, the Empire is yesterday, Brexit demonstrated a collective arrogance and made us a laughing stock. Cue, long, slow handclap. Everything it promised it produces the polar opposite.
In reality it's made us all poorer, limited our personal freedoms, raised our taxes and significantly accelerated our decline in international influence and world standing.
