Meet Rayhunter: A New Open Source Tool from EFF to Detect Cellular
Rayhunter is a new open source tool weโve created that runs off an affordable mobile hotspot that we hope empowers everyone, regardless of technical skill, to help search out cell-site simulators
Cell-site simulators (CSS, also known as Stingrays or IMSI catchers) are devices that masquerade as legitimate cell-phone towers, tricking phones within a certain radius into connecting to the device rather than a tower. Our tool, Rayhunter, can help you find them. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...

It honestly breaks my heart when I'm still encountering people who think the Voice Referendum would have given the indigenous people a veto on proposed legislation.
To think that the No Vote convinced so many Australians of these falsehoods, even to this day, is incredibly depressing.

This morning I read that DeepSeek used training data generated from other language models which has companies like OpenAI fuming, and I can't stop thinking about how there's a lesson in there

It has proven to the world that we are a deeply racist country, & until we address our prejudice and denial, there is no hope for truth telling & treaty, let alone to closing the gaps between first nations & the rest of Australia. /2 #VoteYesAustralia #VoteYes #VoiceReferendum

Although unsurprising, the referendum result has left me more ashamed of Australia than I have ever been. We have rejected a humble invitation from our first nations. A simple request to seek and listen to advice. A simple acknowledgement in our founding document. /1
