Back to the instrument panels…should be 6 bezels wide, but the kit cockpit is too narrow, so five must do. I used 0.13mm Evergreen sheet, still too thick, I‘ll try sanding the bezels down a bit.
Could have drilled holes instead, but I wouldn‘t have managed to align them.

I think I can live with that. All to be blended in now.
I coated the rod with Tamiya Extra Thin five times, waiting about 20 seconds between applications. This softens the rod to the core. Once the surface is dry to the touch, it can be carefully bent. For small radii you need a tool to bend around.
It works!
I‘ll try Evergreen plastic rod softened up with Tamiya Super Thin
A coat of primer for a first surface quality check. A bit of rework to be done here and there.
Challenge remaining: Properly rounded inlet lips…
