I'm going to offer a slightly more nuanced take, that this is largely true but also the new users are trying to tell jokes but their idea of jokes is like, a couple weeks back some boomer dude kept telling me that when I'm old my tattoos will look "putrid" and that only gay men get tattoos

Every patient is different and often one of the easiest paths to healing traumatic response is giving a safe space for people to express themselves or just talk about what they went through without judgement.

Bessel asserts that we ignore parts of our humanity when we rely on strictly medications/static or clinical systems to heal trauma. Labels and diagnostics can lead us down the right path but when it comes down to it every patient is different.

* mentioned is - This is to assert just how irresponsible we are in a system that is financially incentivized to pump people full of medication. Also the checks and balances of hospitals, doctors and insurance simply does not exist.
