Panoramic photo of orange and blue skies at sunset above various trees covered in snow.
Feeling like I walked straight into Narnia at sunset today! The peace, beauty and silence snow brings is just magical! Watching a Goldcrest flit around beneath the trees to bathe in the snow was just an added bonus! π₯°

A Great Northern Diver out at sea
Not the best photo but delighted to have finally seen the Great Northern Diver (Gavia immer) thatβs been visiting the harbour this winter. Well worth the early start leading to numb fingers and toes! π₯Ά

Great captures of this Merlin Steve!
What a sight to see and capture!
After recently capturing this pair of gannets with their egg, I was concerned about their success and survival. This paper gives me hope that theyβve all made it! π

Itβs always difficult, I think, to do a post out of the blue where you just come straight out and say βBUY MY BOOK HERE LOOK HERE IT ISβ without any preamble, but sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and do it.

Thanks John, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge. π
Wow thatβs very interesting thank you. These ones were all closed, mostly brown but also some green beside them, so Iβm not sure which of the two it was going for as I only questioned it when I got home and looked at the photos.
Hi John, it was Scots pine.
