A 1-4 player cooperative board game about rebuilding civilization in a post-apocalyptic monster wasteland! Game by SevenManaCleric, art by ROLLINKUNZ!, layout by.... you, maybe??? monsterwasteland.com
Yes.
Potentially found a graphic designer but don't want to message them because I can't fully commit before TokenCon but what if they fill up before then!?!?! π¬
Yooooink! π
Another game I played in the RoC Green Jam was Pioneers, by PHANthasmal. Players play as planetary colonizers or natives fighting back against giant harvesting rigs represented by books. The rig mechanic was novel and made for interesting gameplay choices, and the natives won every time π link below
I won a game jam!!! The 1-2 player co-op minifig game "Lil' Green Men" is #1 in the Rule of Carnage Winter Green Jam!
If you wanna be a couple of lil' green men going on an abduction joyride, click the thing :D
Link to the game is here because of character limit! storyteller-dave.itch.io/ooze-wranglers
More Rules of Carnage Green Jam!
Ooze Wranglers by Dave Schmidt, a welcome entry in the "guys on an alien planet collecting stuff" genre. I braved a swamp and its beasties, wrangling three oozes in a clever by-the-books co-op battler. Wish I'd had time for a campaign - the progression looked neat.
Two hero cards and figurines for Monster Wasteland, near a section of the map. One is General Cameron Henri II, the other Buckshot Benji Black.
Heroposting while my mind melts prepping for TokenCon! The Bravo Batallion are badass bikers who take the offensive, getting in Monsters' faces and helping others do the same. General Cameron Henri II makes vehicles cheaper, and Buckshot Benji Black can sit a Monster right on its ass πͺπ€
It's Friday so we're Heroposting! Monster Wasteland has four factions, one of which is the Vernese Rangers. They're shady characters and keen navigators who know the Wasteland by heart. The Vernese heroes are Espen Nightcloak and Ani Treestrider, who help the factions move around the map unseen πΆβπ«οΈπΆβπ«οΈπΆβπ«οΈ
The little lightning bolt tokens were going to be the knocked down tokens, but we didn't end up playing 2v2 games so they weren't necessary (yet)
The full board setup for GOBSMACKED!
A closeup of the Gobsmacked! board with two 'goblins' and four pillars
The two goblin cards for Puke and Puke 2
Playing games from the Rules Of Carnage Winter Green Jam. First was GOBSMACKED, a minifig game of goblin rasslin' by @alexeivella.bsky.social it was a hilarious time. The goblins Puke and Puke 2 did some bashin' and smashin', leapt from pillars, and called in crowd favors for a Puke 2 victory!
A friend of mine is getting some raw data for a Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary project. If you're a fan of that weird elf boy Link and his various adventures, you should take this survey real quick!

Louder for the people at the table looking at their phones instead of listening to the rules.
Spent the morning updating my website. There's now a page outlining the different types of cards, as well as the whole ding dang rulebook.

A board game setup in the Tabletop Simulator program with a large map, lots of units, different types of cards, and monsters.
The same board game setup as in image one, but zoomed in to better show the Monsters and unit/tile placement.
A close-up shot of the Settlement and Encounter cards players have discovered during the course of the game
Some shots from yesterday's playtest! We've got a pretty crowded mid-game map going on, lots of Settlements giving us nice synergy, but also lots of Monsters. Can't wait to open up digital playtesting again once I've imported the simplified map cutouts to TTS π
Had a delightful comment when playtesting today: "it always feels like we have choices and it never felt like any one of us was getting left behind or ignored."
Every time there's a note about the game making everyone feel equal I shed a little happy tear π₯²
Being a raccoon trying to eat as much trash as possible π¦π¦π¦
Wow, there's so much there!! I'll be getting a firehose of info now but I guess it really was just that easy π
Being new to the space, I don't know a ton of board/ttrpg creators and the "recommended features" on this site is kind of meh.
Who are some good follows or recommended lists??
Also, I'll be at TokenCon 2026 in Oklahoma City next month demoing Monster Wasteland and playing some cool new games. If you're there come snag a seat at the table or just say hi!

I wrote my thoughts on Duel for Middle Earth! Check out the blog, check out the website, subscribe to the newsletter, learn more about the game!

The setup for Lord of The Rings: Duel for Middle Earth
A closeup of the ring tracker from Duel for Middle Earth
Took a break to play LotR: Duel for Middle Earth.
All I've heard is "it's Seven Wonders Duel but better" and it's an inevitable comparison. I greatly preferred the landmark system, and the ring tracker was a fun addition. I'll probably write a blog about it bc I have Thoughtsβ’οΈ. Either way play it!
A monster card and tile for the deep dweller, a partially-submerged beast consisting primarily of tentacles, eyeballs, and mouths.
More art! More art! More art!
Today we've got the Deep Dweller, a huge monster that spawns in aquatic spaces and swims around the map when it can't find anything to hunt.
I can't remember the exact artist prompt, but @rollinkunz.itch.io gave it the exact right amount of mouths.
A monster card and full art for the Hatethrob on a gaming table.
Taking a break from writing questionnaires and rules spiels to post a Monster!!
The Hatethrob has become the face of Monster Wasteland, and he's a lil huge guy that pushes your units away, even when he's knocked down! The direction for this one was "a squat, writhing mass of limbs and teeth" π¬
A map section consisting of ten hexes of different terrain next to a 'Raw Materials' chart explaining what can be found on each terrain type.
A possible map configuration for Monster Wasteland
A possible map configuration for Monster Wasteland
A possible map configuration for Monster Wasteland
Maps, maps, maps! Monster Wasteland's hex map is divided into 8 sections, which each have different types of terrain that yield different raw materials. There are example layouts in the rulebook, but the map can be assembled however you want. My new goal is to play it in a straight line.
If you see this post a goth girl
A game of Sagrada in progress
Was going to post today but ended up going to Empire Board Game Library in ABQ for Valentine's games. Finally got my hands on Sagrada from @floodgategames.bsky.social and boy is it a delightful dice drafter both to look at and play. Happy Friday/Saturday yall.
I'll be featuring different aspects of the game over the coming days, including the modular map, Factions and Heroes, the Monsters, and more. Hooray for content!
