🏃♀️ Last year, almost half a million people took on the Camino Way in its various forms. By the time flights, food, and kit are added, the average Camino pilgrim leaves a carbon footprint of around half a tonne of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of a 3,500km drive.
🚶♂️ Starting in Oviedo, the route crosses the beautiful, mountains of Asturias, and finishes some 220 miles later at the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the burial place of St James.
Our motivation? To raise awareness of our impact on adventures like this across the globe.
🇪🇸 A little about our 2025 adventure...
👀 The Camino Primitivo is the "original way" along Spain's Camino de Santiago, a network of pilgrimage routes across Europe, and the Primitivo is significant because it's the oldest Camino pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela.
Three very ordinary people hoping to make some big changes to how we have adventures.

The new LNER service between the two cities is set to launch this month, and the journey will take just over four hours. Taking the train is 13 times less polluting than flying, but of course, the sticking point, once again, is the cost.
🚉 Great to hear that you'll soon be able to train it from London to Edinburgh (and back) quicker than it would take to fly!

We're looking to reuse, repair and recycle where possible.

⛰️ We (Laura, Jay and Ben) want to show that slow travel can be exciting and fast-paced, but without the heavy environmental price. We'll be demonstrating how to do this by taking on a big trip next year.
