In the other case, I’d argue that Kyoka Suigetsu’s zanpakuto spirit would not be under a genjutsu if Aizen were put under it. And that zanpakuto spirit could shatter the genjutsu and free Aizen from it like Gyuki did for Killer B

We see Aizen override Soi Fon’s shikai ability (if she hits you twice in the same spot you die) because his power was big enough to overpower hers through sheer force.

Killer B was able to break out of a genjutsu because Gyuki, the 8 tails, was sealed in him and had separate chakra. So he was able to break B out. I would argue that Aizen could perform both of these

Then people think Aizen wouldn’t be able to break out of a genjutsu because he wouldn’t have an outside force to free him, however it’s been shown that it can be done by either overloading your senses, OR being a jinchuriki

People think that anyone with a sharingan can break the illusion Aizen makes solely on the basis that they can do that to other genjutsu’s but that’s only because of the way genjutsu works. It’s about controlling chakra, not necessarily the senses. That’s not how KS works.

We do see one exception to this as Unohana, someone who is such a medical expert that after HOURS of observation, she could tell that a corpse was an illusion made by KS

Kyoka Suigetsu on the other hand is complete hypnosis. It creates illusions by taking complete control over the target’s senses directly, the the ONLY method to break out is by touching Aizen’s sword BEFORE he has a chance to release it (impossible to do now since he no longer has a physical sword)

Or in other cases, you can break out through overloading your senses (Shikamaru breaking his finger to override a genjutsu)

Basically, genjutsu creates illusions by pouring chakra into the target and disrupting/controlling their chakra flow to make them fall under the illusion. However, this can be broken by either an outside force basically resetting the person’s chakra (or if a jinchuriki your tailed beast can do this)
