Scotland's positive campaign for clear provenance. Not about boycotts, but a strong market share. Page managed by Ruth Watson, campaign founder.

A compelling book.

It should be read widely; used as a resource in classrooms across Scotland.

It is my view that #GeneticEditing is useful science, but that it should be kept in the laboratory, not out in fields across Scotland.

CRISPR technology offers significant potential for insight and development but I think that Scotland is better served by being somewhere #OrganicFarms can flourish.

It could be argued that this makes it even more crucial there remain nations which are not using such technologies as standard.

Some test crops show mistakes can be made. If those mistakes get into wild populations you can end up in uncharted territory with many regrets, as evidenced elsewhere.

Pledge to bring gene editing to Scotland's farming network England is the only country in the UK that has passed specific laws to enable gene-editing for commercial use in agriculture

β€œThere will be countries all over the world doing the same thing but to be a place where nations can come to get seed, food and drink that doesn’t have any of those concerns is so important, especially if you’re looking at the organic market”

Supermarkets have immense influence over the food and drink we see on the shelves and huge control, for better and worse. As customers, we can make the choice to help change things for the better.

Businesses which could be doing more can be encouraged to make meaningful changes when we write to customer service departments, speak to managers and vote with our wallets.

Send polite feedback to the shops we buy our food from.

#Ardnamurchan is a beautiful place, shaped by centuries of history.

The Clearances had a devastating impact on the people who lived there but the community endured.

This book is the result of three years of work with the people who make Ardnamurchan what it is today: so much more than a postcard.
