Small numbers, but early use of rituxumab (+ immunosuppression modification) appeared to improve outcomes. Antivirals alone were inadequate.
49/1856 recipients were HHV-8 D+/R-. 22/49 (45%) developed evidence of HHV-8 infection, of which 13/22 developed HHV-8 infection. Median time to DNAaemia was 71 days
