I wish everyone would stop paying attention to bright-line voters on the left. As soon as they win a concession on an issue, they will have a new bright-line. Their goal is not to win change but to maintain their personal political purity by avoiding power and its compromises.

I think the language around these issues is due to the unfortunate propensity for people who are right on the issues to do their level backs to stay out of power so they never have to risk their moral purity.

Yes, In this House is a relatively low-cost way for people to tell people who have been marginalized that they are seen. It also tells the bigots that they aren't the majority they think they are.
