Started when the then-new GZDoom netcode was in its infancy. Just curious if the mod worked in multiplayer. It didn't (for the most part). Asked Kinsie if I could help
Small fix by small fix, now a year++ later. This is the best for-multiplayer #UZDoom mod made. I can't wait for everyone to try it!

The Quake-style baked lighting was utilized for the first time in a GZDoom-based engine through DISDAIN, which has a demo up on Steam
Selaco's engineers expanded on the old lightmap code from 2022, meanwhile DISDAIN left it behind for VKDoom
The original plan was to debut it with a significant release of DISDAIN (an Early Access build, at least) and then immediately port it to (then) GZDoom, but, well, a lot of things happened LOL...
DISDAIN's lightmapper expanded and fully utilized in Selaco ๐ค
(and yes, it'll make it into mainline UZDoom eventually)
(and and yes DISDAIN is still being worked on, sorry it's taking ages, life has been hard)

What worked really well for this "style" is body parts are modeled kinda like diamonds
Honestly it's so fascinating and I have entertained, several times, the idea to create an entire game where the assets were deliberately built like this as a sort of fun "jam" project
Hot dev builds now available (including the new netcode! Do note; these builds aren't final and are subject to rapid change; I don't recommend using these to release any projects (yet))

Played a bit of it. Some killer mapping chops on display here. High detail but just the right amount. Doesn't murder FPS. Rowye here seems to understand engine limits and showed skillful restraint
(Great lighting work too. This would have been a killer VKDoom showcase, but alas)

Oh jeez, this sucks. I got it off GOG when the v1.0 came out and haven't updated it since... it's been a while since I played
UZDoom 4.14.3 RC2 has been released! This is a small bugfix release, with the most significant fix being a fix for GZDoom configuration files not importing correctly. Note: macOS (ARM) builds are still being investigated.
