From February 25-March 1, 2026, a week of action will take place in the Twin Cities. This is an opportunity to consolidate this victory, chase ICE out of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and move towards a world with no borders, no deportations, and freedom of movement for all.
However, to fully secure this victory, we need to establish community control of our streets and rout ICE from Minnesota, the US, and the worldβfor good.
Make no mistake: this latest drawdown is a victory of the network of thousands risking their lives to fight ICE day and night, as well as of the heroic martyrs Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
In turn, the federal government will greatly reduce the number of gestapo agents murdering, kidnapping, and terrorizing their voter base. Immigration enforcement will continue under the cover of local dems.
The Vichy DemocratsβGovernor Walz, Mayor Frey, and their ilkβhave cut a deal with the feds: they will arrest noise demonstrators keeping ICE awake at night, sweep the blockades impeding ICE operations in the streets, and prosecute rapid responders confronting ICE in every corner of the Twin Cities.
The federal government is lying in Minneapolis about Alex Pretti, and they are lying in Texas about the Prairieland Defendants.

We must not let the state win. We must all LOCK THE FUCK IN, and support the Prairieland Defendants.

This is not just about fighting ICE.
Pro-Palestine advocates (following the attempt to criminalize Samidoun and others), eco-abolitionists (as with the RICO case against Stop Cop City), and anti-fascists (as with Trump's phantasmatic chase after Antifa) must all pay attention to this. /7
If the prosecution wins this case, distributing pamphlets, providing legal support, and even political speech could be recast as "providing material support for terrorism."

This is unfolding in Texas, but make no mistake β the implications stretch across the country.
Only one person is accused of firing at a cop, but prosecutors are pursuing broad charges against people who, in some cases, NEVER EVEN SET FOOT AT THE INITIAL PROTEST. /5

This case is intended to set a precedent criminalizing protest and intimidating people out of organizing in solidarity with immigrants and defendants.
Today (February 17), jury selection begins for a trial involving nine of the defendants. /4

Prosecutors have sought to fabricate a criminal enterprise involving not only the participants in the demonstration but whoever else they could find to target, charging arresteesβ partners and even a member of a support committee. /3

On July 4, a dozen people held a noise demo at the Prairieland Detention Center. When police arrived, gunfire erupted. One cop was reportedly "grazed," but there's no medical record of a hospital visit. Now, 19 protesters are accused of terrorism.
Read that again.
Terrorism.
For a noise demo. /2

Incredible coverage applicable everywhere
the police did nothing but help ICE yesterday, just like today, just like tomorrow

The resilience from yesterday and through this entire occupation has been nothing short of incredible. ICE cannot defeat this
Really reflecting on "dream of spring" as a reminder that a post-ICE world has existed long before this winter, and will exist again
Ridiculously, the police showed up in riot gear with 3 dumpster trucks and closed off all entrances to the block - after protestors had already cleared the street and left for the night. Onlookers from nearby houses and businesses quickly appeared to confront police presence. One person was arrested
Trash was removed from the intersection and protestors swept all debris from the road. Extra materials were stashed in nearby alleys for re-use.
The blockade received enormous support from cars driving by and visitors attending the vigil nearby in Powderhorn Park. Numbers grew throughout the day - with the largest group at the end. The blockade ended around 4:45 when protestors collectively decided to disband for the evening.
SUBMITTED TO US: Bloomington and 35th was held for 7 hours, withstanding two sweeps. Neighbors and friends re-erected the blockade within minutes after both sweeps - before police had even retreated - thanks to the support of neighbors who dropped off more supplies and hot drinks. .
Children are carrying terrible trauma because of ICE.
"I apologize for the inconvenience....I'm raising funds for my father."
These blockade are such a beautiful form of community protection.
