This is so real. I’ve reported on this over the years in many forms. Coral reef scientists. Conservationists caring for endlings. Public health workers in the pandemic. Journalists covering all the above. The people bearing witness are not okay.
One unexpected thing in my qualitative study w natural scientists (one-hour interviews) is how deeply, deeply sad the climate scientists are. They say things like "you have enough information from us, why won't anyone act?" -- the psychological distress these people are enduring is very great.

According to experts in genetics, human DNA Submitted to lab testing for dog DNA should result in an error, and not in any type of dog breed. However, after submitting the DNA of Dhanraj, two companies identified his DNA as belonging to specific breeds. DNA My Dog identified Dhanraj as Level 2 basenji and Level 2 beagle. According to the company, Level 2 could mean one of Dhanraj's parents was purebred. Accu-metrics identified Dhanraj's DNA as the same breed that Marketplace told the company it "suspected" the breed was: Level 2 Central Asian shepherd dog. As well, it identified Level Turkish kangal, Level 4 mastiff and Level 5 akbasth.

Many of you have reached out in recent days inquiring about Biobot’s future with CDC NWSS. The contract Biobot held with CDC NWSS for the last few years was up for rebid this summer, and was recently awarded to Verily, an Alphabet precision health technology company.
While we are disappointed with this news, we are incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished with CDC to date, and we know that this decision had nothing to do with our past performance. This is just the reality of how government contracting works.

Important wastewater data update: Biobot has lost its contract. This is disappointing news as wastewater data has been difficult to communicate to the public, and Biobot has been one of the leaders in making COVID wastewater data easy to understand.
