Genuinely excited to share this 53-minute bonus episode on the best Star Wars comic I've read in years, as well as various audiobooks that have reframed one of cinema's greatest villains for me, after a lifetime of uncertainty.

On the School of Movies podcast tonight: Literally the best X-Men thing ever created. Of all the decades of comics, TV, video games and films, without a word of hyperbole I can assure you that Season 1 of X-Men '97 is beyond essential.

It has come to my attention that this new Green Lantern cop show has people rolling their eyes at the grim, colourless, Yellowstone aesthetic.
This is a public service announcement; A Green Lantern Animated Series was made in 2012, and it was GREAT!

We are based in the UK, so what time zone are you on? Usually we podcast with Americans in our early evening, which is their late morning / early afternoon. Hence Sundays being quite good for that.

On tonight's School of Movies, we're talking the resurrection of Telltale Games with Dispatch. You're put in charge of a Z-Team of barely-reformed, loser, super-criminals and your job is to get them to discover the power of friendship. It's an absolute joy!

And goddamn I wish the Obi Wan TV monoseries had been a theatrically released movie as originally intended. That film IS in there cloistered *inside* the four hours we got to watch (I edited it down myself). It has stuck with me in a way most Star Wars TV hasn't.

Seriously, this is one of the best Vader figures I’ve ever seen. Since he was always so deliberately uniform it really always comes down to just replicating the onscreen costume and posture. But this damage is haunting and really makes him a singular wraith-like figure. Wreckage of a man.
