It’s Long Covid Awareness Day (which I think should be the Ides of March, for reasons that will become clear.)
Some of you have heard this before. But I wanted to share my Long Covid story, because I think you should hear it.
On my birthday in November 2022, I woke up with Covid.
Having worked Covid ICU, and worked in other settings in critical care…I cannot begin to tell of the patients who have lost their health, homes, and lives to the sequelae of this virus.
I strongly recommend you not fuck around with this shit-even now.
"Inhaling the gas can cause coughing, dizziness, fatigue and nausea. Long-term exposure can damage the brain and central nervous system and can increase the risk of breast cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and other cancers of the white blood cells."
