When studio execs say they "fear Ryan Coogler's deal on Sinners could be the end of the studio system", what they really mean is usher in a new era of filmmaker driven stories that aren't based on existing IP. That's what they mean by armageddon.

I need to see this movie badly. Even my friends that are not into the genre loved it.

This is all fascinating. I had no idea Ryan Coogler negotiated a contract where he kept final cut, first-line profits, and the rights to SINNERS after 25 years. But the idea of studio execs FREAKING OUT about it ("What if EVERY in-demand creative wants rights over their own work?") is even better.

Yes the stakes are definitely higher now but if there's one thing this season has shown, the Aes Sedai aren't as powerful as they like to think and that will most likely be their downfall.

Hmmm I don't remember anyone else being beheaded on the show. It's the classic violence on black women's bodies and done for no reason cos they could have just stilled her and sentenced her to death but no they did all the extra for shock value. We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

Being beaten, the brutality of her death, and worse just found out she was beheaded, all of that was deeply unnecessary and traumatising to me.

My brain turned off at that moment so much so I'm just finding out that they beheaded her, sigh...spoilt the whole season for me.

Defiant, yes but I respectfully disagree that she went out like a boss.

Yes please 😅. My brain is always so exhausted by that time of the year. I just want to sleep and do anything I like till the next year and resume the grind all over again.

I'm convinced they deliberately plan it, I'm kidding 😅. Then towards the end of the year, it'll suddenly turn to a desert.

I'm invested in Wheel of Time, dusted my prime subscription for it. Didn't watch Rings of Power season 2.

YESSSSSSSS!!! I cried for that episode, it's my favourite episode this season. Didn't expect to be so moved, loved it!
