It would be a cat driving the Doomsday Machine, wouldn't it, nurse Chapel?
The ellipsis in that statement quote looks like a "checks notes" joke by the news org.
“Independents don’t see the GOP as an unstoppable force. They see two flawed parties — one that’s full of cruel, elitist extremists, and one that’s weak and ineffective.

This is one of my favorite genres of just-talkin' shows, sharing the small challenges in everyday life, like socks wearing out and getting new glasses. We also talk about game stuff and trends in games and tech, but honestly? It's the socks.

Everything I have bought from Chris is a thing I am happy with.
Yup.
Hope you’re giving yourself the grace you deserve, friends
Post your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Wrong answers only.
I, for one, was *shocked* to learn Julius in Shakespeare's documentary was there at the end to take a bow.
I don't know if any of that was in the published scenario.
Now they're out tramping in the damp yards and playgrounds of late winter.
They played for about two and a half hours. I heard about "feeding a dingbat," searching for a dagger, and discovering an owlbear skeleton. Then "this was fun! I'll put it back in the box." The flow of play was Thing, roll some dice, describe new place, "what do you want to do?"
"I love the fact we're using dice as people!"
"I pull out my gun."
What kind if gun, I think that might make a difference. Also, guns are loud.
The older tween wanted to keep going with the D&D Starter Set scenario, so the younger tween got her to run it for him.
Same symptoms, diagnosis: not long enough.
This makes sense to me & my memories.
Also the solo game of hours working it out because I couldn't get with my pals on a rainy Saturday... like today.
Showed this & said to pit it in the next dungeon.

Where do I put favorite enemies?
You have favorite enemies? Like "Steve down the way" of "Carol who owns the well?"
No, like, .... lists off a large number of monster manual entries.
That's a lot of enemies!
You can choose one.
Whew.
Where's the Ranger spell list?
I bet somewhere in back.
It says to roll hit dice for hit points, but doesn't say what size die to use?
(13 y.o. me, "yeah‽ what's up, book") Now me, what class?
Ranger.
Check the Ranger chapter. Later I'll show you the book I used. It didn't have Rangers.
(incredulous) Really‽
Play a game, kiddo, there's always time to discover Gangbusters or The Bullwinkle & Rocky Role-playing Party Game or Forest Outlaws down in the basement.
Which is great, to be honest. Anecdotally, this is pretty much the same way I got going. Within a couple of years I was playing a pretty wide range in addition to AD&D.
The younger tween is puzzling out chargen for D&D 5e from my Player's Handbook (2016).
I keep offering him other games, like even ones I've written, that will be easier. But... no thank you.
They also offered 90 days free of the current (full-price) sub, but in my case a year at half off makes more sense. But if you’re tapering off while switching to Affinity or something, 3 free months could be perfect!
