Are we still "active" on this site? I haven't been on in a while - just haven't found the social-traction here ... and notice that my "feed" is almost entirely posts from groups - almost nothing from individuals.

How're we doing?

"The Pantry" a local LA Eatery which has been open 24 hours a day for the past 101 years* has abruptly closed it doors (permanently). Sources site the inability to come to terms between the unionized workers and the current management/owners of the restaurant.

*Covid forced it's temp closure

This is Dixie... (my ex named her) ...she's a Chihuahua+Dachshund mix - commonly referred to as a Chiweenie

She's not complaining about her job. She's complaining about the current President

Just about every day, my neighbor comes over and I can always tell if something's upset her. And just about every single day for the past two months it's been Chief Executive ... often times, I'll just start the conversation with, "What'd he do now?" to hear about the current sh*tstorm he's caused

There's something wrong when you're on the same side as THIS guy

It's kinda like the old Twitter -app. I like to stay connected, but it's a very different energy than FB

SoCal is on fire. High winds have been snapping power lines and sparking flames - which are being spread by the winds. Thousands of acres scorched. Evacs in many areas.

I am safe (for now)

Ugh. Who's got two thumbs and has gotten sick right before the holiday? Yep... this guy here!

Sore throat and stuffy head... hopefully this will clear up soon. I'm supposed to meet my family for lunch on Saturday & do our holiday stuff then - but I ain't goin' if I still have "the sick"

Day 19

This was another one of those, I didn't start at the beginning -book series that I fell in love with. I read "Gunmetal Magic" (got sold on the cool title)... Then went back and read the Kate Daniels series with Book 1 (not realizing Gunmetal was a side-story about one of the supporting characters)

I started this book series with the third book (Dime Store Magic), not knowing it was part of a series... and finished it in less than two days. I was hooked.

I then went back and read the whole series from the start (Book 1, Bitten) and continued through it to its conclusion
